EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP

My Platform: Create new financial and training incentives to empower workers to become owners of the companies for which they work, including creation of a non-profit, university-based program to provide outreach, information, and preliminary technical assistance to Maryland employees and business owners interested in exploring employee ownership.

 

My Experience: As someone who has grown companies and created jobs, I know firsthand that broader ownership of productive assets is a good thing for our employees and for our communities.

 

I can therefore be a leader of legislative efforts in Annapolis to provide new incentives for employee ownership of the companies for which they work.
